For describing President Muhammadu Buhari, and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, as “useless men” in a video, one Alhaji Ikama Halidu Kato, has been remanded in prison.

He was dragged to the Yola Chief Magistrate Court by But the Chairman, Adamawa Concerned citizens (ACC) Alhaji Hussaini Gambo Bello Nakura who said he wanted to use Kato to serve as a deterrent to  of those who use social media to reign unjustifiable attacks on innocent Nigerians.

Kato was arraigned before the Chief Magistrate Court 4 in Yola, Adamawa state while shedding tears and pleaded guilty to the offense labeled against him.

The Chief Magistrate, Mr. Dimas Gwafu has since adjourned the hearing of the case to 2nd August 2021.

The Magistrate ordered that Kato be remanded in prison until 2nd August for further hearing.

However, this is coming after Alhaji Ikamu had since released another video asking for mercy.

In his second video, he pleaded for forgiveness from Boss and Buhari, saying that he acted on ignorance and his tempers were high, not knowing the implication of his utterances.
