*Dignitaries besiege Bichi for unique ceremony
It was a display of wealth and influence on Friday in Bichi, Kano State as Yusuf, son President Muhammadu Buhari tied the knot with his heartthrob, Zahra Bayero, daughter of the Emir of Bichi.
About 20 Private jets, posh cars, power bikes were on display as the who-is-who scrambled to Kano to identify with the President.
Twelve governors from both the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) were also in attendance.
Former Niger President Mahamadou Isoufou, former President Goodluck Jonathan, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Senate President Ahmed Lawan and House of Reps Leader Alhassan Ado Doguwa were also in attendance.
State Governors at the event include: Umar Ganduje (Kano); Inuwa Yahaya (Gombe); Cross Benedict Ayade (Cross River); Mohammed Badaru Abubakar (Jigawa); Aminu Waziri Tambuwal (Sokoto); Mai Mala Buni (Yobe); Yahaya Bello (Kogi) and Kayode Fayemi (Ekiti).
The presence of security operatives and watertight security were overwhelmed as the crowd trooped to the venue of the event to get a glimpse of the dignitaries.
TheIdeal also reports that Aso Rock was literally shutdown as all officials, including the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and several ministers were in attendance to give their support to President Buhari.
