The Minister of Arts, Culture and Creative Economy, Bar Hannatu Musawa, has denied the statement credited to her in circulation, following the controversies surrounding her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) status.
Musawa also disowned the statement, insisting that she is yet to make official statement on the NYSC matter
It is instructive to state that the minister is said to be a serving member of the NYSC while being inaugurated by President Bola Tinubu as minister.
Incidentally, the media had earlier quoted Musawa as saying in a statement that there is now law that prevented her from serving as a minister in spite of being an NYSC member.
But Musawa in a statement made available on Sunday night by the Deputy Director, Press in the Ministry of Information and National Orientation, Suleiman Haruna, said she has not issued any official statement regarding the matter.
She said, “I deeply value and appreciate the support, solidarity, and understanding of Nigerians in these times.
“For clarity, I wish to state that I have not issued any statement on the current issue.”
