Embattled police officer, DCP Abba Kyari has deleted his Facebook post where he explained his relationship with Hushpuppi.

The suspended former head of the Police Intelligence Response Team had on July 29 taken to his Facebook page to explain that he never received any bribe from Hushpuppi as alleged in a US court document indicting him.

Kyari had explained in his post that Hushpuppi once admired some of his outfits and sent N300,000 to his tailor to design the same outfit for him.

Kyari said, “He saw some of my Native Clothes and Caps on my social media page and he said he likes them and he was connected to the person selling the clothes and he sent about N300,000 directly to the person’s account. The Native Clothes and Caps (5 sets) were brought to our office and he sent somebody to collect them in our office.

“Nobody demanded any money from Abbas Hushpuppi and nobody collected any money from him. We responded to a distress call he made on the threat to his family and released the Suspect when we discovered there was no life threat from the Suspect. This is the true story. Vincent is alive, he can be contacted,” he wrote.

But as at Wednesday morning, checks by Theideal on his Facebook page showed that DCP Abba Kyari has deleted every post related to the Hushpuppi investigation from his verified Facebook page
