Spokesman to the First Lady of Nigeria, Mr Haruna Suleiman, has debunked the rumours that the wife of the President, Mrs Aisha Buhari , is pregnant.
TheIdeal recalls that photographs of Mrs Buhari have been circulating on certain social media platforms, insinuating that the First Lady is pregnant and about to deliver a child.
Incidentally, the photographs have surfaced after Mrs Buhari landed in Abuja on her return from the Turkey-Africa summit which she attended with President Muhammadu Buhari.
Debunking the malicious rumour in a chat with BBC Pidgin, Suleiman stated that Mrs Buhari is not pregnant, saying that the First Lady is “perfectly okay”.
He said, “I can assure you 100 percent that our first lady is perfectly okay. She is neither sick nor pregnant as some reports claim.
“Some of these reports are from mischief makers who don’t mean well. You know, nowadays, people can tamper with photos.”
