Counting of votes is ongoing at the Eagle Square, Abuja, venue of the presidential primary of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The development came just as the National Leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, is leading other aspirants with a wide margin and may likely win the presidential ticket of the APC.
Seven presidential aspirants had earlier stepped down for Tinubu before the commencement of voting at the national convention venue.
The seven aspirants are former Akwa Ibom State Governor and immediate Minister of Niger Delta, Senator Godswill Akpabio, former Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunke Amosun, Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi, former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Dimeji Bankole, Jigawa State Governor Abubakar Badaru, Senator Ajayi Borrofice and the only female aspirant, Bar Uju Ken Ohanenye.
The votes are still be counted at about 12.15pm.
