MultiChoice Nigeria has officially announced that the highly anticipated 2025 edition of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) will premiere with a two-day launch on July 26 and 27.

At a media briefing held on Wednesday, the organisers revealed that this season’s winner will walk away with a jaw-dropping ₦150 million — the biggest grand prize in the show’s history since it debuted in 2006.

The beloved and stylish Ebuka Obi-Uchendu will return to anchor the show once again, maintaining his long-running role as the face of BBNaija.
Highlighting the scale of the phenomenon, Ebuka disclosed that BBNaija has so far featured 197 housemates across its nine seasons, airing for a cumulative 709 days, and awarding a total of ₦637 million in cash prizes.

Last year’s edition, with a theme titled “No Loose Guard”, introduced a twist that required contestants to audition and enter the house in pairs before competing solo.

The season ended with Kellyrae clinching the ₦100 million grand prize, making history as the first married winner of the show.

For this year’s edition, the organisers brought back in-person auditions, which held nationwide from May 16 to 18, raising expectations of a more dynamic and diverse pool of housemates.

With the countdown ticking, viewers across the country are gearing up for another drama-packed season of twists, romance, betrayal, strategy, and entertainment.
