Actress Biodun Okeowo has expressed her gratitude to senior colleague, Lola Idije, for publicly defending her against accusations of husband snatching.
On her Instagram, Biodun thanked Lola for speaking the truth and clearing her name.
She highlighted the importance of addressing the rumours, noting her concern for her mental well-being, family, and reputation.
Biodun revealed that her decision to respond to the allegations came after witnessing her daughter defend her online.
The Nation reported that Lola Idije had previously denied the claims, stating she attended Biodun’s wedding and that her husband had no connection to any of her daughters.
She wrote: “Thank you so much, ma, @lola_idije1959, for speaking the truth on this matter. Thank you to everyone who reached out with concern.
“Yeah! I needed to speak up for myself, my children, unborn children, husband, in-laws, families, and my true fans. As they say, the internet never forgets, I don’t want to be remembered for something that does not define me at all.
“I come first in all of this, my sanity matters. Being bullied is not healthy. I had to speak out, especially after seeing my daughter’s comment on Gistlover, defending me. That was the breaking point for me. I can’t remain silent seeing my child in that state, that is something she would never have done under normal circumstances. For her to do that. I know it’s time for me to save their faces.
