The All Progressives Congress (APC) Deputy National Chairman (North), Senator Abubakar Kyari, has taken over as the Acting National Chairman of the party and currently presiding over the National Working Committee (NWC) meeting of the party.
Kyari’s takeover also confirmed the resignation of APC National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu over the weekend.
Adamu was said to have tendered his resignation letter to the party’s National Secretary, Senator Iyiola Omisore.
But at about 10:40 am on Monday, Kyari led a team of seven other members of the NWC to a meeting in his office.
It was learnt that Kyari’s car was parked in the slot reserved for the National Chairman.
At about 11:20am, Omisore arrived at the secretariat and joined others in the meeting.
