The Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC), on Wednesday, obeyed the order of Justice Olukayode Adeniyi of the FCT High Court in Abuja as the commission produced the embattled former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, in court.

Justice Adeniyi had issued the order on Friday after hearing an ex-parte application which Emefiele filed as part of his fundamental rights enforcement suit.

It is important to note that EFCC failed to obey the order when the matter came up on Monday, as the agency’s lawyer , Farouk Abdullahai, told the court that the order issued by the court was not understood.

He added that Emefiele did not attach some documents to its affidavit.
