Former Inspector General of Police of Nigeria (IGP), Mr Musiliu Smith, has resigned his position as the Chairman Police Service Commission (PSC).
The PSC’s spokesman, Mr Ikechukwu Ani, confirmed the development on Wednesday
He also disclosed that Smith resigned on “health grounds”, saying that President Muhammadu Buhari has accepted his resignation.
According to him, the PSC will issue an official statement on the development on Thursday.
He said: “Yes he (Smith) resigned on his own on medical grounds and the President has accepted his resignation.’’
