President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Hon Nasiru Baballe Ila as the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the President on National Assembly Matters (House of Representatives).
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr Garba Shehu, also disclosed that Ila is a product of Victory College, Alexandria and West London College, United Kingdom, adding that he was a successful businessman with interests in haulage, ginnery and tannery before his foray into politics.
Shehu added that Ila was voted into the House of Representatives in 2011 and 2015 as a member representing Tarauni Federal Constituency in Kano.
The presidential spokesman also stated that Ila is a chartered member of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), saying that Ila is replacing Hon. Umar Ibrahim El-Yakub who has been appointed as Minister by the President.
