Former Aviation Minister, Osita Chidoka, has encouraged young people and couples alike to have more children, saying that having siblings makes life better.
He said this when he shared a photo he took with his brother on Facebook and lamented that people are becoming selfish by having fewer children.
He buttressed his point by adding that more children means more manpower.
He wrote: “Nwanne na nwanne…..brothers time.
“Young people should have more children. Siblings make life’s challenges easier to manage. I speak as a witness.
“The middle class is increasingly becoming more selfish, reducing fertility to unsustainable levels and hiding under costs.
“We need more trained manpower and should not allow the growing skewing of untrained manpower.”
Osita Chidoka was minister of aviation between July 2014 and April 2015.
