Nigeria’s former Minister of External Affairs, Prof. Bolaji Akinyemi, has said the United States of America has disgraced itself with the reelection of Republican candidate, Donald Trump, as its president-elect.
The Professor of Political Science made the assertion on Wednesday on a Channels Television programme: “Politics Today.”
Akinyemi said: “See how far the US has disgraced itself and disappointed the rest of the world in the electoral decision it took last night.”
He described the election, which Trump won against the Democratic candidate, Kamala Harris, as a competition between light and darkness.
He said Americans would later regret their decision to reelect 78-year-old Trump.
