Faith’s disqualification from Big Brother Naija Season 10 has ignited a storm of reactions across Nigeria.

While Big Brother cited the show’s strict rules against violence after replaying his clash with Sultana, not everyone agrees with the decision.

A Senior Police Officer, who is also a lawyer, publicly questioned the fairness of the ruling, describing Faith as one of the strongest and most disciplined housemates.

The police officer, who requested anonymity, said: “The truth is that we’ve been watching this show.

“The best guy ever in Big Brother’s House is Faith.

“That girl Sultana provoked the guy.

“Most of them hate him because he’s very good, he’s an all-rounder, and he has never missed a task.

“He stays on his own.”

She went further to argue that the fight, which involved both contestants dragging a bucket during a cake-making task, was part of the game and not an act of violence.

She added: “What is in a bucket?

“Why are they having a game that has to do with men and women?

“At the end of the day, they said because Faith dragged the bucket off her and she fell.

“Why is she dragging the bucket with a man?

“This is a game for everybody.

“If she didn’t want to fall, she wouldn’t have dragged the bucket with a man.

“That was not violence.”

The officer also raised concerns about fairness to viewers who supported Faith.

She said: “How will Big Brother now disqualify Faith, when all of us have been voting for him?

“Big Brother should come and give us back our money because this matter will not end this year.”

Her remarks reflect the frustration of many fans who believe Faith was unfairly punished.

On social media, supporters echoed similar arguments, pointing to provocation and insisting that the incident did not warrant disqualification.

On the other hand, critics of Faith argue that Big Brother’s decision was consistent with the rules: any action perceived as physical aggression, regardless of intent or provocation, risks immediate disqualification.

Faith’s exit has now become bigger than a single eviction.

It has opened conversations about provocation, gender balance in competitions, and fairness of reality TV rules.

Whether or not one agrees with Big Brother’s judgment, a fact is undeniable: Faith’s disqualification will remain one of the most controversial moments of this season.
