Operatives of the Kaduna Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC) have arrested 33 suspected internet fraudsters.
Twenty-nine of the suspects were arrested on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 in Minna, Niger State, while the remaining four were arrested Wednesday, July 2, 2025 in Unguwan Mai Gero area of Kaduna State.
Their arrest followed credible intelligence that linked them to fraudulent internet activities.
Items recovered from them include 46 smartphones, two iPads, 11 laptops and one PlayStation.
When contacted, the EFCC’s Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, confirmed the arrest of the suspects.
Oyewale added that the suspects will be charged to court, once investigations are concluded.
