EFCC

In what can be regarded as launching massive investigations into the activities of errant ministers who served under the regime of former President Muhammadu Buhari, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has quizzed former Minister of Women Affairs, Mrs Pauline Tallen, following her alleged involvement in corrupt enrichment.

Tallen is being interrogated at the Abuja Zonal Command of EFCC for allegedly misappropriating about N2billion.
Although details of the case against Tallen are still sketchy at press time , a source close to the matter stated that the ex-minister is being questioned over the alleged misappropriation of funds from the African First Lady Peace Mission Project (AFLPM).

The AFLPM initiative is centred on promoting peace and harmony in Africa.

The ex-minister was said to have arrived at the Abuja zonal command of the commission on invitation at about 12pm on Friday.

It was further gathered that Tallen might likely spend the night at the EFCC custody as operatives are still questioning her over the matter.

But the EFCC’s Head of Media and Publicity, Mr Wilson Uwujaren, could not be reached for confirmation at press time.
