Former Kano State Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, on Saturday, reported to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC) and is currently being quizzed by operatives at the Commission’s corporate headquarters in Abuja.

The ex-governor is said to be interrogated by the EFCC, following his alleged involvement in abuse of office, mismanagement of N10billion pension remittances, diversion of public funds and fraudulent allocation of government properties to his cronies.

Kwankwaso, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was said to have been first invited by the EFCC in September but reportedly failed to honour the invitation.

TheIdeal further gathered that the operatives might be asking Kwankwaso to shed more light over a petition by some retired employees of the Kano State Government who had earlier petitioned the EFCC.

The petitioners were said to have complained that Kwankwaso allegedly mismanaged about N10billion pension remittances between 2011 and 2015 to fund a housing project for his cronies.

When contacted over the development, a top source at the Commission confided in Theideal that, “Yes, the former governor is here with us and he is being quizzed by our operatives.”

But the source declined to give further details on the matter, saying that the commission would soon disclose its findings to the general public.
