The much awaited arraignment of the suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, before the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Abuja has been adjourned till August 23.
The arraignment, which was initially scheduled for Thursday, was stalled due to the absence of some of the co- defendants in the charge.
It is important to note that Emefiele, who was present in court, was charged alongside Sa’adatu Yaro, a female CBN employee, and her company, April1616 Investment Limited, on 20-count charge of alleged involvement in procurement fraud, conspiracy and conferring corrupt advantages.
