*As DSS denies journalists, staff, lawyers access in court

Supporters of the self acclaimed leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, in their large numbers, clashed with members of the Department of State Services (DSS)  at the Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday.
This is as our correspondent observed that the supporters kept on chanting, “Holy, Holy, Holy, Nnamdi Kanu is another saviour”.
The leader of the proscribed group is being arraigned at the Federal High Court over some amended charge leveled against him by the Federal Government.
The development came just as the lead lawyer for the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, on Tuesday, unveiled Chief Mike Ozekhome (SAN) as the leader of the defence team for Nnamdi Kanu, whose trial commenced on Tuesday before Justice Binta Nyako of a Federal High Court in Abuja.
Meanwhile, some journalists who arrived at the Federal High Court to cover the proceedings were also barred from gaining access to the court premises.

Also,  some members of staff of the court and other lawyers who came for their cases, were denied entrance into the court premises.

Speaking to our correspondent, a lawyer simply identified as Olugbenga said, “This is really bad. I have a matter before a judge and I can’t gain entrance into the court premises even after I identified myself to the DSS.

“Something need to be done about these overzealous acts of our security operatives”.
