Wife of Anambra State Governor, Nonye Soludo, on Wednesday, insisted that she never met ex-governor Chinwoke Mbadinuju, contrary to reports making the rounds that she was part of Mbadinuju’s administration.

Mbadinuju was governor of Anambra State on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party between 1999 and 2003.

Mrs Soludo, who is the founder of “Healthy living with Nonye Soludo”, clarified this in a statement on Wednesday.

She insisted that she cannot dignify the baseless rumours making the rounds with a response.

The Anambra first lady was reacting to a viral video where Senator Uche Ekwunife claimed that Governor Chukwuma Soludo and his wife served under the administration of former governor Mbadinuju.

Ekwunife, the deputy governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the November 8 Anambra governorship election, in a viral video circulating online since Tuesday, claimed that Soludo was a functionary of the Mbadinuju government.

Ekwunife was also reacting to claims that she was part of those who allegedly destroyed Anambra State between 1999 to 2003 during that administration and as a result, she started mentioning names of those who were also part of the administration.

But Mrs Soludo, in her reaction, insisted she never met Mbadinuju nor was part of that administration.

She said, “My attention has just been drawn to a post going round that Mrs Soludo replied Ekwunife. Not at all! I am too busy with my children as schools resume.

“Besides, I can’t condescend to replying to inanities and fabrications. I cannot dignify Ekwunife’s fabrications with a response.

“For the record, I never met Mbadinuju of blessed memory. Never! As for the other fabrications, pitiable and laughable.”
