Ndume

Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume (APC, Borno South) has again attacked the Federal Government and alleged that President Bola Tinubu is surrounded by kleptocrats.

Ndume, who stated this during an interview on Channels Television’s programme, Politics Today, also alleged that many of the appointees around Tinubu were in government to make money.

Asked if he thought Tinubu was aware, he replied in a nonchalant manner, saying that, : “I don’t know.”

Ndume also reiterated his accusation of alleged lopsided appointments by Tinubu, saying that the appointments filled by Yorubas include: Minister of Finance, CBN Governor, Customs DG, PENCOM boss, NNPC, FIRS, FAAN, NIMASA, Marine and Blue Economy and others.

Ndume also faulted the declaration of Emergency Rule in Rivers State and the removal of the Governor Siminalayi Fubara.

According to Ndume, the action of Tinubu on Rivers State was undemocratic, adding that Tinubu ought to have been firmer in calling the warring parties in Rivers State to order instead of imposing a state of emergency.

Ndume also attacked the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Mr Bayo Onanuga and described him as a senior domestic staff in repost to being called hypocritical.

He added that Onanuga called him names, including branding him as frustrated, hence his decision to return the insult since he is a senator while Onanuga is just a domestic staff of the President
