One of the two finalists of BBNaija Level Up Season 7, Ijeoma Josephine Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, has emerged as the winner of the biggest TV reality show in Lagos.
The Host of the event, Ebuka Obi- Uchendu, announced Phyna as the winner of the TV reality show on Sunday night.
According to Ebuka, the Edo State-born Phyna, who won the epoch event, will be walking home with N100million grand prize-cash prize of N50million and N50million worth of prizes from sponsors.
Incidentally, Phyna and Bryann were the last two housemates standing from the Level Two House in Biggie’s mansion.
It is important to note that 28 housemates competed for the grand prize of the N100million while Phyna edged out five other finalists -Bryan, Bella, Adekunle, Daniella and Chichi.
After spending 72 days in Biggie’s House, Bryann emerged as the first runner up while Bella was declared as the second runner up. Adekunle also emerged as the third runner up while Chichi and Daniella became the fourth and fifth runners-up.
The competition, which started on Saturday, July 24 and Sunday, July 25, ended on Sunday night of October 2 with all the intrigues, drama and romance.
Even though some viewers have expressed mixed feelings about the reality show on the grounds of too much exposure and open romance, there’s no doubt that the show has brought a lot of entertainment and fun into the homes of people in Nigeria, Africa and the whole world.
It has been an interesting few months and the housemates gave people something to talk about and to make a case for the reality show.
The BBNaija is a programme that is supposed to showcase how complicated the average person is (even though there are rumours that the show is scripted).
The reality show is also supposed to show how young people in Nigeria hustle and struggle for survival on the streets.
The development explains why young Nigerians voted for Phyna, who represents their struggles, yearnings and aspirations in a society that is hostile to the youths.
It is instructive to note that the essence of the TV reality show is a game and not everybody is expected to win the competition at the end of the day.
