Chiamaka Nnadozie has done it again. The Super Falcons’ fearless last line of defence has been crowned CAF Goalkeeper of the Year (Women) for 2025, making it a remarkable three years running.
The 24-year-old Nigerian star lifted the prestigious trophy on Wednesday at the 2025 CAF Awards in Rabat, Morocco, outshining Morocco’s Khadija Er-Rmichi and South Africa’s Andile Dlamini. Her victory is a resounding reminder that when it comes to African goalkeeping, Nnadozie remains untouchable.
This year has been nothing short of sensational for the shotstopper. At Paris FC, she was instrumental in guiding the club to glory in the Coupe de France Féminine. On the international stage, she fortified the Super Falcons’ defence en route to a record-extending 10th WAFCON title, keeping four clean sheets and earning the tournament’s best goalkeeper award.
Nnadozie’s journey did not stop there. She recently joined Brighton & Hove Albion in the Women’s Super League, immediately making waves. She marked her debut with a Player of the Match performance and has since been nominated for the WSL Save of the Month and PFA Fans’ Player of the Month awards.
Her latest CAF accolade only adds to an ever-growing legacy, reinforcing her reputation as one of the most thrilling and reliable talents in women’s football today. With her gloves, reflexes, and unmatched composure, Nnadozie continues to redefine what it means to be Africa’s top goalkeeper.
