A former Presidential Candidate of National Republican Convention (NRC) in the 1993 aborted third republic, Alhaji Bashir Othman Tofa is dead.
TheIdeal gathered that Bashir Tofa died after a brief illness in the early hours of Monday at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital.
The politician, author and astute businessman was rumored to have died on Friday evening, but the story was later debunked.
Bashir Othman Tofa was born in June 20, 1947.
