The Sokoto State Police Command has arrested 65-year-old Ibrahim Adamu Magana for allegedly defiling two minors, aged between 10 and 9 years old within Sokoto Cinema area of Sokoto North Local Government area.
Narrating the incident that led to Magana’s arrest, the State Police Command spokesperson, ASP Sanusi Abubakar said, he (Magana) used gifts as bait to lure the kids into his room where he allegedly defiled them.
The police spokesperson also disclosed that the suspect has admitted his involvement in the crime. He added that investigation is ongoing, saying that the the suspect will be charged to court once investigation is concluded.
On how the defilement became public notice, ASP Sanusi said the two minors testified that the 65-year- old Magana often entice them with gifts into his room while he is naked and have carnal knowledge with them.
But the cat was let out of the bag when the victims complained to their parents of severe itching around their private parts which led to a medical examination at Nana Khafija Hospital in the State.
Continuing, ASP Sanusi said the medical reports revealed that the two minors have been defiled multiple times.
