Actress Funke Akindele has lauded street-hop act Portable for his originality after she watched a video of his performance with a live band.
The Lagos Deputy Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) Deputy Governorship candidate in the just concluded poll couldn’t hide her excitement about the “Zazu’” crooner’s enviable performance.
“Just be real, that’s it. He’s real,” the film maker said amid chuckles.
In December 2022, Portable received massive accolades even from critics after video displaying his live performance at EchooRoom studio went viral.
He was highly applauded for his musical prowess which he displayed that held many enraptured considering they perhaps didn’t envisage such from the ‘Ika of Afrika’ like he fondly refers to himself.
Portable performed the song titled, ‘Apostle’ which was first a freestyle before it was recorded and mixed into a studio hit for his debut album ‘Ika of Afrika’.
