The new Kano State Commissioner of Police Salman Garba yesterday dismissed the claims that he is deposed Emir Aminu Ado Bayero’s blood relation as my take sides in the Emirship tussle between Bayero and the reinstated Emir Muhammadu Sanusi.
He insisted that is in the state to serve everybody regardless of their religion, ethnicity or colour. Garba made this statement while fielding questions from journalists at his maiden press conference in Bompai, Kano. He said: “In fact, I’m hearing this statement from for the first time.
“The news of me belonging to the same family as Bayero is new to me; this is the first time I’m heard it. For me, I will do my best for Kano.”
