*Gov Inuwa Yahaya chairs Budget, Sanwo-Olu heads Finance, LogisticsĀ
The All Progressives Congress (APC), has announced the setting up of 19 sub-committees to take charge of activities ahead of its presidential convention slated for June 6 to 8 at the Eagle Square in Abuja.
The spokesman of the party, Felix Morka, disclosed this in a statement made available to journalists on Wednesday night.
In the arrangement for the convention, Gombe State GovernorĀ Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya and Minister of Finance, Hajiya Zainab Ahmed, will chair the Budget sub-committee while Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu will be in charge of Finance and Logistics.
Also, Accreditation and Decoration will be handled by Ogun State Governor Dapo AbiodunĀ while his counterpart in Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu, takes charge of Security and Compliance.
He will be assisted by a former Minister of Interior, Gen. Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau (rtd).
The Election Planning Subcommittee is jointly chaired by Kebbi State Governor Abubakar BaguduĀ and his Imo State counterpart, Hope Uzodinma.
The Transportation Committee has Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje assisted by Minister of State for FCT Dr Ramatu Tijani Aliyu.
Accommodation committee has Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum and his Osun counterpart Gboyega Oyetola while Nasarawa Governor, Abdullahi Sule heads the Media and Publicity committee.
Minister of Labour and Employment Dr Chris Ngige and former Minister of Health Prof. Isaac Folorunso Adewole are to head the medical sub-committee.
The Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami SAN heads the legal committee; Zamfara State Governor Bello Matawalle and Mohammed Musa Bello, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory are to coordinate the venue and site servicing committee.
Yobe State Governor and former National Caretaker Committee Chairman Governor Mai Mala Buni heads the Election Appeal committee while Plateau State Governor Simon Lalong and Hajiya Sadiya Umar Farouq, Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development are in charge of hospitality and welfare sub-committee.
MorkaĀ further disclosed that Katsina State Governor Aminu Bello Masari will take charge of Protocols while his Kwara State counterpart AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq heads digital communications just asĀ Kaduna State Governor Mallam NasirĀ el-Rufai and Dame Pauline Tallen, Minister of Women Affairs are saddled with the responsibilities of pre-convention/management/ rapporteur committee.
Presidential screening appeal committee has Niger State Governor Abubakar Sani Bello and Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ahmed Idris Wase as coordinators while the duo of Deputy Senate President Ovie Omo-Agege and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffery Onyeama will head the Accreditation of Diplomats committee.
