Caroline Wuraola Adepoju, the Acting Comptroller General of Immigration, has ordered the immediate redeployment 15 Passport Control Officers, as the Service moves to deepen the ongoing passport reform process.
The deployment is part of NIS management’s drive to upgrade the Passport administration both at home and in our foreign Missions.
The Acting CGI assured that the current leadership of the Service is resolutely committed to transforming passport offices into customer-centric service centres.
In the Posting Order, signed by the Ag. Deputy Comptroller General in charge of Human Resource Management, Usman Babangida, the affected Passport offices included, Alausa and Festac both in Lagos, as well as the ones in Edo, Anambra, Bayelsa, Kogi, Nassarawa, Plateau, Enugu, Abia, Kano, Taraba and Ondo, among others.
According to a statement Kenneth Kure, ACI in charge of public relations, CGI Adepoju has enjoined all affected officers in the redeployment to bring their wealth of experience to their new offices, and contribute to the improvement of service delivery.
Emphasizing the importance of “service above self,” the Ag. CGI declared that henceforth, only the very capable and dedicated individuals will be assigned to sensitive positions so as to ensure excellence in service delivery and to ensure that citizens receive nothing less than the best service possible.
