Christiano Ronaldo scored in his Champions league return for Man United, but its was not enough to secure a victory as Young Boys stoppage time goal sealed a victory for the home side in their Champions league encounter last night.

This is Ronaldo’s third goal in two consecutive matches since he was signed from Juventus this season.

The 36 years electrified the atmosphere in the club last week saturday as he scored a brace in United’s 4-2 victory aginst Newscastle United in their Premier league encounter on last Saturday.

Ronaldo, who is now the joint all-time champions league apperance holder with 177th appearances in the competition scored early in 13th minute of  the first half of the game to give the English side the lead form an assist from team mate Bruno Fernandes. The team seems to be in control of the game until Aaron Wan-Bissaka secured a red for a hard tackle against Christopher Martins of the opposing side. Leaving the Red devil to struggle with the Young boys for almost one hour with 10 men.

However, it seems they would be able to hold on after Cameroonian winger Mouni Ngamaleu secured an equaliser for the home side.  But everything changed when Jordan Siebatcheu fired a shot pass goal keeper David De Gea in the 95th minutes as a result of a mistake backpass by United Substitute ,Jesse Lingard which resulted as a victory for the home side.

The home side roared in celebration last night as United Manager Ole Gunnar Solksjaer look shocked. It’s indeed a great victory for Young boys who was unable to surpassed the group stage last season because they were knocked out in the group stage.

Next up for United Group F match is against Villarreal at Old Trafford on 29 September.
