The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has begun the collation of results arising from Saturday’s Governorship and State Assembly elections nationwide.
Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo- Olu is in comfortable lead from the official results by the INEC from four local governments areas of Lagos Island, Apapa, Apapa, Epe and Agege.
In Lagos Island, Sanwo-Olu scored 37,360 votes to defeat the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Abdul-Azeez Adediran, who received 1,783 while the governorship candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour who garnered 1,317.
