The Magajin Garin Sokoto, Alhaji Hassan Danbaba, on Saturday, slumped and died in Kaduna, Kaduna State.
Danbaba, a grandson of the late Premier of Northern Nigeria, Sir Ahmadu Bello, died at the age of 51, according to family sources.
The source further confirmed that Danbaba’s remains will be flown to Sokoto for burial according to Islamic rites.
For many in Sokoto, the news about the dead of Danbaba was very devastating, considering his philanthropic gestures over the years.
Danbaba, who buried his 75- year- old mother, Aishatu, the second daughter of the late Premier, Ahmadu Bello, in April 2021, was a successful business magnate and the Chairman of Stonehedge Hotels, Abuja and Board Chairman, Sokoto State Rima Basin Development Authority.
