The Society for Corporate Governance in Nigeria (SCGN) has concluded plans to hold its Annual Corporate Governance Conference in Lagos.

According to the SCGN, the hybrid event will come up on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at about 10am in Victoria Island, Lagos.

In statement made available on Monday, the SCGN also disclosed that theme of this year’s event is titled – “ESG and Corporate Governance: Aligning Strategies for Sustainable Success”.

The SCGN added that the keynote speaker for the conference is Dr. Jackie Chimhanzi while the guest speaker is Ambassador Shuaibu Adamu Ahmed.

It also disclosed that seasoned panelists have been slated for the discussions.

The SCGN, a registered non- profit organization, also stated that it is committed to the development of good corporate governance ethics and best practices in Nigeria.

The statement reads in part, “ This year’s conference is reflected in its strong emphasis on research, programs of learning, thought leadership publications, advocacy, board evaluation and enhancement programmes.
