Governors of the southern states of Nigeria have risen from their meeting in Enugu State with a resolution and that the next President of the country must come from one of the states in the South.

Rotimi Akeredolu, the governor of Ondo, who is also the chairman of the Southern Governors’ Forum, made this known while disclosing the resolutions of the meeting which held in Enugu on Thursday.

The Governors also resolved to support the collection of value added tax by states in the country.

The Governors said the Federal Inland Revenue Service should stop collecting VAT.
