President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Makurdi, the Benue State capital, as part of a high-level visit to address the recent surge in violent attacks and mindless killings across the state.
Tinubu arrived at the Tactical Air Command, Nigerian Air Force Base, Makurdi, at about 12:58 pm on Wednesday and was received by Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia.
Five other State Governors: Abdullahi Sule (Nasarawa); Caleb Mutfwang (Plateau); Agbu Kefas (Taraba); Lucky Aiyedatiwa (Ondo); Ahmed Ododo (Kogi); Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume and other top government functionaries were present at the Air Force Base to receive the President.
It was further gathered that Tinubu will proceed from the Air Force Base to the Government House where is expected to address a Town Hall meeting with Benue stakeholders and later visit Yelwata community where innocent people were killed by the armed herdsmen.
