President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Abuja after his France and London trips.

The President arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe international airport, Abuja at about 9:55pm and was received by top government officials.

Among those who received the President at the airport were the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, the National Security Adviser (NSA), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu and the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Atiku Bagudu.

The Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Mr Bayo Onanuga, had earlier announced that President Tinubu would arrive Nigeria on Monday.

He said, “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will return home today.”

On April 2, President Tinubu departed for Paris, France, on “a short working visit.”

Onanuga had said the President while away would appraise his administration’s midterm performance and assess key milestones.

He had said, “He will also use the retreat to review the progress of ongoing reforms and engage in strategic planning ahead of his administration’s second anniversary.”

“This period of reflection will inform plans to deepen ongoing reforms and accelerate national development priorities in the coming year.”

He also disclosed that while away, President Tinubu would remain fully engaged with his team and continue to oversee governance activities, promising that he “will return to Nigeria in about a fortnight.”
