President Bola Tinubu has signed the historic N55.99trillion 2025 budget into law.
Tinubu performed the ceremony on Friday in his office at the Presidential Villa, Abuja while the event was witnessed by the leadership of the National Assembly and other senior government functionaries.
The budget is made up of N3.645 trillion for statutory transfers, N14.317 trillion for debt servicing, N13.64 trillion for recurrent expenditure and N23.963 trillion capital expenditure (development fund), with fiscal deficit put at N13.08 trillion.
It is instructive to note that President Tinubu had increased the 2025 fiscal year budget from an initial N49.7 trillion to N54.2trillion.
