The Kano State Police Command has lifted the 24-hour curfew imposed on the state on Wednesday, following the judgment of Election Petitions Tribunal which nullified the election of Governor Abba Yusuf and declared Dr Haruna Gawuna as the winner of the governorship election in the state.

The State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Haruna Abdullahi Kiyawa, disclosed the lifting of the curfew on Thursday through a WhatsApp Group for Journalists and Police Public Relations Department of the Police Command.

He said, “The curfew is lifted, according to the State Government”.
