The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has declared that he will devote 20 days to showcasing what he described as the remarkable achievements of President Bola Tinubu’s administration in the education sector within Abuja.

Wike, who had earlier referred to former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, as the “social media president,” states this during the commissioning of newly provided engineering infrastructure in Wuye District on Tuesday.

According to a statement made available by his Spokesman, Lere Olayinka, the exercise will serve as a direct response to critics who underestimate the government’s progress beyond physical infrastructure.

Wike said, “We will take 20 days to show Nigerians, to show ‘social media president’ what we have done in the education sector. So we are not going to rush.

“We are not going to rush, we are going to shock them with what we have done in the education sector, so that they will know that President Tinubu’s administration is not only concentrating on the infrastructure in the FCT, as regards to the network of roads, it is also focusing on the education sector,” he added.

Wike explained that the 20-day period would involve a series of project inspections, inaugurations, and public presentations of completed educational initiatives in the capital territory.

He further hinted that he plans to take a break after the 20-day stretch before resuming work on other developmental fronts.

The FCT Minister said, “I have told the chief of staff, we are going to end our flag off, our commissioning, at least for today. 20 days is not two days, so we will take a rest and come back and focus on education.”

The minister’s comments underscore his ongoing defense of the Tinubu administration’s performance, particularly in sectors often overlooked by critics on social media.
